Corton Village Hall now has its own defibrillator following a succesful fundraising campaign which saw £2000 raised by residents and councillors. Bob Groome, who started the campaign after being inspired by a St John's Ambulance Trust first aid course he attended, said: "i would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made this happen." "We hope it never gets used because that would mean that no one has had a heart attack but, if it saves just one life, it would be worth every penny." |
